Scholarship Overview

All applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarship at the time of admission. Scholarships are awarded based on academic and professional achievement, application strength, and potential to contribute to our community.

Scholarships cover partial tuition, and candidates will be notified of an award at the time of admission. The Owen Graduate School of Management does not offer need-based scholarships.

Company Sponsorship

Many working professional students receive some level of financial support from their employers. Sponsoring organizations enjoy benefits from this investment, such as:

  • Immediate solutions to pressing issues
  • An increase in the bottom line traceable to contributions of employees in the program
  • Greater bench strength
  • Long-term loyalty of prized employees

If you are seeking sponsorship from your organization, we’d like to help. Reach out to our team and let us help you customize a sponsorship letter for your employer.

Special Funding

Yellow Ribbon Program

Vanderbilt University is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. At Vanderbilt, all students who qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program are entitled to receive a Yellow Ribbon award.

Once your eligibility for the Yellow Ribbon Program has been confirmed and the national cap for the Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) has been expended, Vanderbilt University will provide additional Yellow Ribbon funds. At the Owen Graduate School of Management, we currently award additional funding up to 50% of the unmet charges in Yellow Ribbon funds, to be matched by the VA. Together, these funds will cover up to 100% of your tuition. The Yellow Ribbon program does not cover non-tuition/fee-related expenses.

A full description of the Yellow Ribbon program can be found on the Veterans Benefits Administration website. As a first step in this process, contact Vanderbilt’s VA School Certifying Officials at vasco@vanderbilt.edu to determine your individual educational benefits and to confirm your eligibility.

Loan Options

Most of our Evening MBA students self-fund some or all of the program. In addition to personal resources, students may apply for U.S. government loans as full-time students via the Vanderbilt Financial Aid Office.

Other Resources

We encourage students to do their own research when considering how to fund their degree. In addition to scholarships and federal loans, students could consider personal savings; family funds; sponsorship by their company; and other outside loans, grants, and scholarships. Your starting point for funding options outside of Vanderbilt Executive MBA scholarships should be the Vanderbilt University Office of Financial Aid.
