Financial Consultant Rupal Patel (MBA'18)Rupal Patel’s passion for, and experience in, finance is undeniable. A finance major in college, she accepted a position in a rotational program at Caterpillar Financial Services Corp., based in Nashville, after graduation. After about five years at Caterpillar, she decided she was ready to switch industries while staying focused on finance roles. She loved living in Nashville, and Owen proved to be the perfect fit for business school.

Patel took a Finance and Strategy summer internship at Walmart, the largest company in the world. She enjoyed her project work there so much she decided to pursue a full-time consulting role, eventually accepting an offer to become a Senior Consultant in the Performance Improvement – Finance Team at EY.

“Being in (business) school right now is a unique opportunity, where companies are coming to you to try and get you to work there. I don’t know how many times in life that’s going to happen again,” she said.
