Vanderbilt Business Launches New Evening MBA for Fall 2027

The chance to earn one of the country’s elite MBAs without the need for a career pause.

Vanderbilt Business Evening MBA

The Vanderbilt MBA is one of the most elite graduate business programs in the country. But for anyone unable to pause their careers to pursue one, or who hasn’t yet reached the career stage for an Executive MBA, the degree has remained out of reach. Beginning next fall, that’s all changing.

Vanderbilt Business is excited to announce the launch of the Evening MBA for Fall 2027. The Evening MBA is a flexible program featuring the rigorous business training and career advancement opportunities of the traditional daytime MBA, but tailored to full-time working professionals.

The Evening MBA is for fully employed bachelor’s degree holders based in the Greater Nashville area with at least two years of work experience. Students will be able to take up to two courses at a time, with each course running one evening a week from 6 to 9:15 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Completion of the degree will average around three years. And while elective daytime and online courses will also be available, the bulk of the program will be centered around in-person evening classes.

Evening MBA students will have access to the Career Management Center and Leadership Development Program, two integral parts of the Vanderbilt Business experience. It will also feature cross-pollination with both Full-Time MBA and Executive MBA students through networking opportunities.

Evening MBA students will be considered for merit-based scholarships at the time of admission, awarded based on academic and professional achievement, application strength, and the potential to contribute to the Vanderbilt Business community.

“With so many ambitious business professionals in the Nashville area, it was essential for Vanderbilt to create the Evening MBA program and provide another way to earn a graduate business degree,” said Thomas Steenburgh, Ralph Owen Dean. “We’re really excited about the opportunities this program will open up for the community.”

Applications for Fall 2027 will open starting Friday, October 2.
