Biography
Doug Cahill, currently serves as Chairman, CEO & President of The Hillman Group, a position he has held since September 2019. Prior to this role, serving as Managing Director of CCMP Capital Advisors and a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. He focused on making investments in the Consumer and Industrial sectors. Mr. Cahill joined CCMP as an Executive Advisor in May 2013 and became a Managing Director in July 2014. He brings 25 years of experience growing Consumer-focused and Industrial companies. Prior to CCMP he was President & CEO of Oreck, a Nashville-based manufacturer of upright vacuums and cleaning products. Prior to Oreck, Mr. Cahill served as President & CEO of Doane Pet Care for 8 years, a manufacturer of Pet Food and a former CCMP portfolio company, through its sale to Mars, Inc in 2006. From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Cahill served as the President of Mars Petcare U.S. Prior to Doane Pet Care, Mr. Cahill spent 13 years at Olin Corporation, a diversified manufacturer of metal and chemicals, where he served in a variety of managerial and executive roles. Mr. Cahill serves as a Board Member for Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee and at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He is Chairman of the Board of The Hillman Group and has served on Banfield Pet Hospital, Shoes For Crews, Founder Sport Group, and Boys & Girls Club of Tennessee Boards. Mr. Cahill has a B.S. from Bowling Green State University where he met his wife, Terre. They have been married for 36 years and have 3 amazing children.
