Consuela worked in engineering for General Motors subsidiaries, Saturn Corporation and Delphi Corporation, prior to joining Owen in 2004. As Director of Admissions Operations, Consuela manages reporting and analytics that inform admissions decisions and that render the ROI of recruiting activities. She leads an operations team that embraces technology, process improvement and innovation to ensure efficient operations related to processing applications, mailings and shipments and on time decision release across our portfolio of programs. Under the diversity umbrella, Consuela ensures that candidates of all backgrounds are sought after, are well-informed about diversity at Owen and about the b-school application process, and are fairly evaluated for admission. She is staff advisor for the Owen Black Students Association. Consuela earned an MBA from Vanderbilt with two areas of focus—Operations and Human and Organizational Performance. As a student, she held leadership roles in the Human and Organizational Performance Association, Owen Black Students Association and Christian Business Fellowship. Consuela enjoys dancing, physical fitness, outdoor sports and involvement in Christian ministry.
Consuela is the Admissions representative for U.S. underrepresented minorities and Sub-Saharan Africa.
