Biography

Maria Misbach is the chief marketing and communications officer for the Owen Graduate School of Management, where she leads the School’s brand strategy, digital engagement, and institutional storytelling. Her focus is on elevating Owen’s visibility and connecting audiences to the impact of its people and programs.

Maria comes to Owen from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, where she led marketing and communications for its B.S., M.S., MBA, Ph.D., graduate certificate, and executive education programs, as well as for development, alumni relations, corporate engagement, research, centers, and strategic initiatives. During her tenure, Scheller doubled its portfolio of degree and non-degree offerings, launched its first online programs, introduced two new centers and five interdisciplinary minors, and reached its highest enrollment on record.

Before Georgia Tech, Maria served as associate director of marketing at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, where she built the School’s first dedicated marketing function for graduate programs and executive education, developing go-to-market strategies for more than 25 programs.

Her experience includes multiple comprehensive website redesigns, visual identity rebrands, and Salesforce and Marketing Cloud implementations, along with stewardship of multimillion-dollar paid media investments.

Maria earned her degree in Economics from New York University, where she first developed her passion for the intersection of people, data, and decision-making. She looks forward to championing the Owen story and amplifying the School’s ideas, community, and global impact.
