Matthew Cox

Biography

In July 2023, Matthew was promoted to Associate Director of Executive Programs and manages Executive Education’s short and custom program portfolios. Matthew joined the Vanderbilt-Owen Executive Education team as the Assistant Director of Client Experience in November of 2022. Prior to this position, he had an extensive career in Executive MBA programming that began in 2011 as an undergraduate assistant with the Auburn University Graduate Executive Programs. After graduation from Auburn in 2012, he broadened his knowledge of the education field as a high school business teacher. In 2013, he returned to Auburn as Graduate Research Assistant with Auburn’s executive program while obtaining his master’s degree at Auburn. Through interactions with executive learners at his alma mater, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and now at Vanderbilt, Matthew prides himself on offering programs that provide a first-class and high-impact learning experience.

In May 2023, Matthew received his Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Adult Education from Auburn. In his free time, he loves spending time with his friends and family, traveling, being outdoors, slowly learning to play guitar, and watching SEC football.
