Melissa Cox

Biography

Melissa joined the Owen team in September of 2020. Her primary responsibilities include providing academic, scholarship, and administrative support to our faculty and offering consultation, support, and guidance on visual lecture content for an in-person or asynchronous environment. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and she has prior higher education experience from Full Sail University where she worked as an enrollment specialist and later as a transcript registrar. She managed the transfer process for the incoming students, performed audits and reviews of the admission procedures, and worked with program directors and school administrators to coordinate additional transfer needs. Most recently, Melissa has worked as a lead pre-K teacher at the Academy of Powell Place in Brentwood planning child development curriculum and programming. I love traveling, cooking, & my beloved St. Louis Cardinals. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my niece, Hannah.
