The Vanderbilt Master of Science in Finance program has produced strong employment outcomes year over year. The MS Finance Class of 2024 saw a similar trend with 95 percent of the class reporting accepting job offers within 6 months of graduation.
“This Class represents the largest MSF cohort to graduate yet, and we are thrilled to report that their employment success has reached new heights,” says Ginny Ling, Associate Director and MS Finance Coaching Lead with the Vanderbilt Business Career Management Center.
Impressive Salary Figures for Vanderbilt MS Finance Graduates
The students who landed full-time jobs reported earning an average base salary of $91,211, exceeding the average and median base salaries of the previous cohort, and receiving an average signing bonus of $8,911.
Owen Network: A Key Driver of MS Finance Career Success
The program points to the Owen network and personal networks of the students as key factors that played a part in the Class of 2024’s overall success.
“The Class outcomes were achieved through tenacious yet nimble efforts by our students and employer partners,” Ling says. “We continue to be extremely grateful to our alumni who have provided not only employment intelligence and outlook for employment opportunities, but also words of encouragement and kindness to our young and aspiring finance professionals.”
Diverse Industry Placement for Vanderbilt MS Finance Class of 2024
The Vanderbilt MS Finance Class of 2024 reports accepting jobs over a wide range of industries with 38 percent of the class working in investment banking. Other popular industries among the class include 11 percent working in management consulting, 10 percent in investment management, and another 10 percent in real estate finance.
The alums hold positions with top companies across several geographic regions including the U.S. and Europe.
“We are immensely proud of the accomplishments of the Vanderbilt MSF Class of 2024,” says Ling. “Their dedication to knowledge and upskilling, resilience, and adaptability have truly set them apart, and we are highly confident that they will continue to make a profound impact in the world of finance.”
