Biography

Nathan Yates is an accounting and finance professional with more than 13 years of experience. He is currently the Corporate Controller at Acadia Healthcare, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services. In this role, Nathan leads the corporate accounting and finance functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of internal and external financial reporting for the consolidated organization. He oversees SEC reporting, directs the month-end close process, and manages the annual budgeting cycle for corporate departments. Nathan also collaborates closely with senior leadership to provide financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making and ensures compliance with evolving accounting standards.

Prior to joining Acadia, Nathan served as Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting at OneOncology, a physician-led national platform advancing independent oncology practices. Nathan played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s internal and external financial reporting infrastructure and establishing accounting policies in critical areas such as revenue recognition, acquisitions, goodwill impairment, and equity-based compensation. A trusted advisor to finance leadership and a key liaison to external auditors, Nathan was consistently recognized as a subject matter expert on a variety of topics.

Prior to his role at OneOncology, Nathan started his career at EY, rising to the rank of Assurance Senior Manager over nearly a decade with the firm. Nathan led audit teams for both public and private clients across a range of diverse industries, including healthcare, retail, and energy. His ability to manage complex projects and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders led to his selection for a competitive international rotation in EY’s London office.

Nathan graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science and from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management with a Master of Accountancy.
