The Vanderbilt Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree is a one-year, on-campus degree offering two distinct programs: MAcc Valuation and MAcc Assurance. MAcc Valuation prepares you to succeed as a valuation associate at a global accounting and professional services firm. You might be wondering, “How will a masters in accounting help my career?” The MAcc Valuation program teaches you the language of business and equips you with expertise in both finance and accounting. This one-of-a-kind program features a paid internship and exam prep for the CPA and CFA embedded in the 12 months. That means you’ll start to see a return on your investment before you even finish your degree. Our 100% employment rate within three months of graduation highlights Vanderbilt’s commitment to helping you land a job. Many of our graduates begin their journeys as associates with one of our partner firms and within five years, most have advanced to six-figure salaries. After managing a
50-employee pharmacy for a year, Jordan Maya returned to his alma mater and
joined the MAcc program. “It’s the only true valuation program out there,” says
the Long Island native. “And Nashville is an incredible city.” During his
internship, he enjoyed working with a variety of different client businesses.
Now, as a deals associate with a Big Four firm, he does it full-time.
In his strategic
communications role, Max Dutcher bridges companies and continents. For Monsanto,
one of his firm’s multinational clients, Max and his team counseled the company
through a bid for a competitor, then worked with FTI’s European offices to
deliver clear and consistent communication to employers, regulators and the
public. Being in New York City isn’t all work. He and his friends enjoy hosting
events to showcase up-and-coming bands.
