Biography

Tae-Youn Park focuses on compensation and rewards, employment relations, and employee turnover in an effort to understand how companies can make decisions that satisfy employers and employees alike.

 

Leadership

Tae-Youn serves on the Editorial Board of the Academy of Management Journal, as reviewer of major journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Studies, Journal of Management, and others.


Publications

Tae-Youn has published in top research outlets such as Academy of Management Journal, Psychological Bulletin, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Strategic Management Journal, as well as practitioner-oriented outlets such as Compensation and Benefits Review.

Teaching

At Vanderbilt, Tae-Youn teaches Strategic Alignment of Human Capital, Compensation Decision-Making, and Talent Management & HR Analytics. He has also advised on independent studies in Compensation and Talent Management.

Research Interests

Professor Park’s work examines HR policies and their effect on organizations, employees, and employment relations. He has explored the effects of various HR practices including pay secrecy, pay inequality, flexible work practices, maternity leave, workforce flow management, and union relations.
