Biography
Professor
Jim Vosburg has more than two decades of experience in senior leadership roles
within the government and private sector supporting major programs in science
and energy, environmental management, nuclear energy and national nuclear
security. In these capacities he has developed exceptional expertise in
organizational development.
Awards & Accomplishments
Jim received the U.S.
Department of Energy’s HEROES Award for his work on computer-based ethics
training, as well as the Department’s Partnership Award for work on a
multi-site partnering initiative.
Impact
Jim has directed multi-million
dollar training, education and organizational development programs, led
corporate strategic planning efforts, and implemented leadership development
systems for mid-level and executive staff.
Jim serves as Director for the Oak Ridge
Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). He leads a $310 million multi-functional program
implementing all elements of the ORISE performance areas including STEM
workforce development, scientific and technical resource integration, human
subject health and protection surveillance, independent environmental
assessment and verification, and operations of the radiation emergency
assistance center/training site (REAC/TS).

Jim is a member of the
Academy of Human Resource Development, the American Society for Training and
Development, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
