Biography

Amelia Generalis is a professional and mother that brings a depth of experience working with both Fortune 50 global brands and hyper-growth companies over the last 25 years. She possesses that unique understanding of the strategic pieces of people and talent, as well as a focus on business results. Today, she is the Chief People Officer at Opendoor, a Fortune 500 Company and the only large online real estate marketplace. Before joining Opendoor, Amelia was the Chief People Officer at 8x8, a public company helping businesses delight customers with a unified communications platform for contact center, business phone, video, and chat. Amelia has also held executive and management positions at Success Factors (which was acquired by SAP), Anaplan, Electronic Arts, and Royal Dutch Shell. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and children and works hard to ensure that both life and work are integrated.
