Janet McCormick, CFA

Biography

Janet is a Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management in Wellesley, MA. She joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 after 27 years at Fidelity Investments in various investment management roles, including as a portfolio manager of over $13 billion in retirement assets.

To her current role Janet brings extensive knowledge in portfolio construction, quantitative analysis, and asset allocation. One of the most important benefits she provides is her ability to pull together and oversee a team of the best investment minds to suit each of her clients, having successfully evaluated and worked with numerous top investment managers, plan sponsors, and investment consultants while at Fidelity and Morgan Stanley.

As an immigrant to the US from Korea when she was a teenager, Janet is also uniquely sensitive to the needs of international clients. Her team serves many individuals who work and/or live in multiple countries and have complex wealth management needs such as generational wealth / legacy planning, pre-liquidity planning and monetization solutions, and optimized philanthropic strategies.

Janet has two successfully launched children, Connor (Middlebury College '18) and Molly (Vanderbilt University '18), both graduates of the Dover-Sherborn schools. She has two very enthusiastic German Shepherds, lives on the Charles River, appreciates well-designed cars, and enjoys skiing, hiking and kayaking.
