Biography

Mr. Brock retired December, 2016 as Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola European Partners plc, formerly Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., the largest marketer, distributor and producer of Coca-Cola products in the world. He joined Coca-Cola Enterprises as CEO in April 2006, before becoming company chairman in April 2008. Under his leadership, Coca-Cola Enterprises sold its North American operations to The Coca-Cola Co. and acquired bottling operations in Norway and Sweden, forming the world’s third-largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in 2010. He began his career at Procter & Gamble, and in 1983 was recruited by Cadbury Schweppes to head technical and operational functions in North America. He became head of marketing for global beverages in 1988 and then president of Cadbury Schweppes’ international beverage division. He eventually became president of Cadbury’s European Beverages business, and soon thereafter became president of North America. While in this position, Mr. Brock and his team organized the acquisition of Dr Pepper/Seven Up. In March of 2000, he was named Chief Operating Officer of Cadbury Schweppes and chairman of Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group’s Board of Directors. He was also named Beverage Industry’s Executive of the Year.

Mr. Brock is former director of Dow Jones & Company, Campbell Soup Company and Reed Elsevier, plc in London. As a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus from Georgia Tech, he currently serves as Trustee and Chair-Elect of the Georgia Tech Foundation, and is Chairman of Horizons Atlanta, a philanthropic organization that enhances education for underserved children.
