Biography

Kristin M. Mitra is a Chief Marketing Officer and data-driven brand strategist with more than 20 years of experience leading marketing transformation, driving growth, and elevating purpose-driven brands across nonprofit and corporate sectors. As Founder and Principal of Mitra International, LLC, she advises organizations on marketing strategy, brand positioning, and integrated growth initiatives, serving as a trusted fractional CMO and strategic partner to executive teams.

Previously, Kristin served as Chief Marketing Officer for the National CASA/GAL Association for Children, where she revitalized the national brand and marketing function, achieving double- and triple-digit gains in donor acquisition and engagement. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at the American Cancer Society, including Vice President of Marketing Planning and Strategy, where she led a team of more than 30 and directed a $45M annual marketing portfolio that drove over $100M in direct-to-consumer revenue. Her background also includes senior positions in management consulting, customer experience strategy, and global B2B marketing.

Kristin earned her MBA in Marketing and General Management from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, with a focus in International Business and eCommerce, and her BA in Politics from Wake Forest University, graduating cum laude. She resides in Atlanta with her two sons—one a senior Industrial Engineering major at Georgia Tech and the other a high school senior—and their Shetland Sheepdog. Together, they are avid global travelers with a special connection to India and France.
