Biography

As President and CEO of Sono Bello, Tom Barr oversees all operations and strategic growth for this multi-unit leader in the medical aesthetics industry. Since joining in 2016, Tom has led Sono Bello through the most significant expansion in this private company’s history, leading to a 6x growth of operating units and revenue. Under his leadership, the company now operates over 125 locations across the United States, making Sono Bello the nation's largest provider of cosmetic surgery. Tom also guided Sono Bello through strategic partnerships with two leading investment firms and spearheaded a successful merger and acquisition, integrating another company into Sono Bello’s operations to form a single, unified brand.

Prior to Sono Bello, Mr. Barr served as Global President and interim CEO of Hailo Network, Ltd., where he led all operations across the UK, Spain, Ireland, and Singapore. Under his leadership, Hailo underwent a successful restructuring, positioning the company for its merger with Daimler AG (MGB.DE). Today, Hailo is a key part of Lyft, Inc., competing as a top brand against Uber in Europe.

Prior to Hailo, Tom spent twelve years in progressively expansive executive leadership roles at Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) with a last role of Vice President, Global Coffee. During his tenure, he managed major product lines such as coffee, food, and espresso beverages, where he launched the Starbucks Reserve brand, doubled the company’s food business to over $1 billion annually by introducing hot food options, and led the development of iconic products like the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Mr. Barr began his career in banking and later brand marketing at GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) after earning his MBA from Vanderbilt University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sheetz, Inc and served on the Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ: CBRL) Board of Directors for 12 years ending in 2024. He has also been involved in various philanthropic boards, including the King County Library Foundation and Vanderbilt University's Business School’s Alumni Council.

Tom resides in Seattle with his wife, Maria, and their two children.
