The Distinguished Speaker Series at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management will be hosting Shannon Brown, Chief HR and Diversity Officer at FedEx, to discuss leadership and long-term strategy in light of the economic downturn.
The speech is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27th at 5:30 p.m. in Averbuch Auditorium, which is located in Management Hall.
As the most senior human resources executive for FedEx, Brown provides strategic direction for all human resources practices, policies and operations for the company. His role includes overseeing global initiatives to develop and retain a highly talented and diverse workforce and promote a safe and sustainably responsible work environment where employees are empowered to respond to customer needs. During his tenure, FedEx has consistently been ranked on Fortune magazine’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work For.”
