The Vanderbilt University Master of Accountancy program is the top-ranked program in its field, according to the 2016 rankings from the Financial Engineer. The Financial Engineer’s Master of Accounting Rankings are the most comprehensive rankings for Master of Accounting and Master of Accountancy programs in the United States.

The Financial Engineer ranked the programs according to a mixture of components, including mean GMAT scores (30 percent), mean starting salary and bonus (25 percent), mean undergraduate GPA (15 percent), acceptance rate (15 percent), full time graduates employed at graduation (10 percent), full time graduates employed three months after graduation (5 percent). Each program’s score is the weighted average of each of the components respective score, where the weights sum to 100 percent. The final scores are normalized and are not rounded.

The Vanderbilt University Master of Accountancy program ranked higher than 195 other programs. The University of Southern California, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Notre Dame and the University of Rochester rounded out the top five ranked programs in the 2016 rankings, respectively.

The Vanderbilt Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is a full-time, intense one-year program that begins in August of each year with graduation the following spring, and ends in August after the completion of the Becker CPA Review Course and CPA exam. Vanderbilt offers both MAcc Valuation and MAcc Assurance programs. The Vanderbilt MAcc program also offers the opportunity for an intensive ten-week internship from January to mid-March. Courses taken with MBA and MS Finance students maximize interaction and learning throughout the program.
