Jonathan Perlin, President of Clinical Services and Chief Medical at Hospital Corporation of America, discusses analytics and learning healthcare systems with M. Eric Johnson, Dean of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, as part of the INFORMS Healthcare Conference. They cover how the enormous amounts of data generated in healthcare can be harnessed to improve quality and reduce cost. They also address the important issues of patient data privacy and security.
