Josh Umbehr, MD is the cofounder of Atlas MD, an insurance-free primary care medical practice headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Umbehr came to campus late last month as part of the “Talking Health” speaker series, which is hosted by the Vanderbilt Business Healthcare Association. The talk was moderated by Larry Van Horn, Executive Director of Health Affairs and Associate Professor of Management (Economics) at Owen. In this podcast episode Dr. Umbehr and Professor Van Horn recap their talk, explaining Atlas MD’s business model and forecasting the future of primary care in America.
