Vanderbilt Business Welcomes New Associate Dean of Development and Alumni Relations

Kelli Edmond joins Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management from Baylor University

Kelli Edmond joins Vanderbilt Business as the new Associate Dean of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), effective February 2022. 

Edmond will spearhead alumni engagement and gift-based fundraising efforts. She will build and foster relationships, set fundraising goals, manage a portfolio of gifting campaigns and budgets, and serve as a senior representative within the college’s leadership teams. In her new role, Edmond will help secure resources, both human and financial, to advance Vanderbilt Business.

“I am excited to lead the talented and proven Owen development and alumni relations team and to take on the Vanderbilt Business’ spirit of collaboration and service,” says Edmond. “I look forward to supporting high-level scholarship (research and education) that trains thought leaders to create new business, solve business problems and unravel business complexities,” she says.

Edmond brings 5 years of experience in higher education, as she joins Vanderbilt Business from Baylor University. At Baylor, she served as Director of Development for George W. Truett Theological Seminary and then as Managing Director of Development for the College of Arts & Sciences. Before Baylor, Edmond held various business roles at HealthFitness, a health and fitness management company where she managed client accounts and developed relationships with Fortune 500 companies, universities, and government entities while leading staff positioned around the country.

Edmond earned her bachelor’s degree in Health from Texas A&M University and her MBA from Baylor University. 

Edmond enjoys running, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.

“I have a passion to support the school’s pursuit of academic excellence to further impact the globe through business theory and practice; I am thrilled to engage with the Owen alumni and aspire to reach new heights together,” says Edmond. “It’s exciting to step into this role at Vanderbilt Business to serve the alumni and encourage philanthropic investment in scholarship and programs.”
