Vanderbilt Executive Education will offer the Strategic Innovation program this summer. The short program is designed to help working professionals create a culture that nurtures business-building innovation. From Wednesday, June 21, through Friday, June 23, participants will learn innovation and concept development frameworks through prototypes and case studies.
The program curriculum will be taught by Todd A. McCullough, Adjunct Professor, Owen Graduate School of Management over the course of 3 days.
“The Strategic Innovation program is really about learning the discipline of innovation,” McCullough said. “Of course, innovation isn’t a new phenomenon, but innovating on purpose, reliably in a company, is actually a relatively new and emerging discipline. Only in the last 25 or so years has the practice evolved. This is what the participants will learn about.”
After taking this program, you can expect to walk away with a breadth of knowledge. You will gain knowledge in areas including overcoming barriers to innovation, strategies for building a culture that makes innovation an everyday part of your organization, and methods for generating, assessing, and implementing ideas into your organization.
“We will use a mix of theory, frameworks, case studies, exercises, and discussions to help participants learn the very latest approaches and then start to practice them immediately,” McCullough explained. “They will walk away with tools they can take back and use with their colleagues at work.”
Professor McCullough is an innovative senior executive leader who is known for helping organizations across diverse industries achieve professional growth. He is skilled in transforming complex challenges into clear, compelling agendas through a rare combination of science and creativity. McCullough has helped over 100 Fortune 500 companies achieve growth strategies over the last 20+ years.
After the final day of the Strategic Innovation program, each participant will earn a certificate. Register for the program before seats fill up.
