Today, we showcase junior Ava Hendrickson from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania!

“My name is Ava Hendrickson and I am a junior from Newtown Square, PA, which is right outside Philadelphia. At Vanderbilt, I am majoring in Economics and French and minoring in Business and Data Science. The Business minor classes, its programming, and the organizations it supports have provided me with foundational knowledge and skills for a career in business. My favorite class for the Business minor so far has been Negotiation with Professor Williamson. We learned not only about how negotiation can be used in business, but how communication strategies in general can drive decisions and solutions.

The most impactful aspect of my Vanderbilt experience has been my membership in the business fraternity Phi Chi Theta (@vandyphichi). This semester I am thankful to be serving as President, which has allowed me to build many strong relationships and grow as a person and leader. In this fraternity and especially in my role, I am constantly learning and becoming more passionate about business.”
