As an accounting major in college, Bradley Battle knew he wanted a career where his undergraduate studies intersected with finance. And he already knew that Vanderbilt could get him there.

“The MAcc Valuation program set me up perfectly to pursue a career in valuation consulting,” Bradley says. “The national prestige of the university and the opportunity to join a small, tight-knit MAcc cohort greatly influenced my decision to attend Vanderbilt.”

What “completely confirmed” his decision, however, was his on-campus interview. “The Owen pride I sensed among the students and faculty was exciting as a prospective student,” Bradley says, “and I saw myself thriving in the program here.”

In fact, the enthusiasm he witnessed proved contagious. Bradley was selected to be the program’s campus visit coordinator. “I have greatly enjoyed my passion for Owen and the MAcc Valuation program,” he says, “and will use it to help shape the next year’s class.”

When Bradley considers how the program equipped him for the career he sought, his passion is even more understandable. “Things like sitting for the CPA and CFA Level 1, the one-on-one professional coaching, and the built-in internship all gave me a leg up that I could take advantage of,” he says. “Being part of a cohort structure made my experience one filled with collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and networking. And the community aspect, the quality of the education, and the focus on professional development have given me a platform to approach my career with strong confidence in my abilities.”

Fun Fact: Bradley spent a semester in college completing a data analytics internship in London and had the opportunity to visit 20 other countries while living abroad.
