Sophia Hooley
Vanderbilt Undergraduate Business Minor 2026
Today, we highlight junior Sophia Hooley from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, majoring in Computer Science and HOD with a Business minor. Around campus, Sophia is involved in Delta Sigma Pi, Tikkun Olam Makers, and Kappa Theta Pi. Her favorite business class was Managing Operations with Michael Lapre.
“The business minor has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth. Personally, it has allowed me to explore various aspects of business that align with my interests. Professionally, I’ve gained valuable insights into a range of topics, including Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Operations. My business minor classes have ignited a passion for subjects I hadn’t previously considered, and the professors, with their extensive expertise, have been exceptional resources throughout my journey.
Being a member of Delta Sigma Pi has been a pivotal experience in shaping my career exploration and professional development. I've gained invaluable networking skills and discovered career opportunities I wouldn’t have encountered elsewhere. Whether it’s casing with brothers for consulting recruitment or building lasting connections through my DSP family, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support and guidance of DSP.”
