Yasin Davletyarov

Vanderbilt Undergraduate Business Minor 2026

Today, we are spotlighting sophomore Yasin Davletyarov from Miami, FL majoring in Economics and Political Science with a Business minor. Around campus, Yasin is involved in VIC, Blockchain Club, FMC, and Eastern European & Central Asian Club.

“I think the Business of Music class taught by Professor Porter has really helped expose me to the wider music industry that is so pertinent to Nashville’s identity and in general gave me a better understanding of the artist, publisher producers relationship that I was exposed to from the very young age. I think that professionally, the class gave me a firmer understanding of how sales, and commission based businesses operate.

A really formative experience at Vanderbilt that I had was taking Introductions to Ethics with Professor Sucre. Even though I am not a philosophy major, I think getting introduced to foundational thinkers like Hume, Kant, Mill, and Ross, encourages deep reflection on moral issues that go beyond academic theory. And for someone, studying economics and political science, grappling with ethical frameworks would be incredibly valuable when thinking about real-world issues like policy decisions, corporate responsibility, or economic justice. Most importantly Professor Sucre is very smart, engaging and has a unique ability to break down complex frameworks in a fun and memorable way.”
