Paula Varney

Biography

As the Senior Associate Director Online and Digital Programs, Paula oversees the advancement of the Executive Education via the development and delivery of high engagement online programs, both synchronous and asynchronous, focusing on universal business topics taught at Owen by our outstanding faculty. Paula collaborates with our technology partner and our Faculty to produce, direct, edit and market visually dynamic materials for students interested in learning in an online manner with a rigor and high touch style that typifies our product offerings. Paula earned her BS degree in Electronic Media from Middle Tennessee State University and has more than 18 years of professional work experience in the entertainment industry in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles. She has served in numerous capacities there including television casting and production (ask her for her stories!), promotions and marketing, managing special events, recruiting and talent booking. She has worked with various celebrities from the film, television, and music industries on networks such as NBC, FOX, ABC, CMT, GAC, Comedy Central and AMC. Some of her more notable works are the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, The Grand Ole Opry, The CMT Awards, Hell’s Kitchen and The Sharon Osbourne Show.
