Master of Management in Health Care

A one-year degree that helps clinicians and healthcare professionals succeed in business.

The Vanderbilt Master of Management in Health Care (MMHC) is designed to help healthcare practitioners and professionals effectively manage people, programs, and processes within their organizations by marrying business fundamentals with the complex realities of the healthcare industry. Students attend management classes one night a week and industry-specific courses one weekend per month. A Capstone Project requires that students demonstrate application of business concepts and disciplines to a timely challenge identified by their sponsoring organization.

Sam Chang

Chief Surgical Officer, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC)

Urologic surgeon Sam Chang ranks at the top of his field. Despite his medical achievements, however, he believed he could do more. “I wanted to consider how I can bring effective change for a larger group of patients,” he says.
