Safety Protocols

Face masks/coverings must be worn on campus at all times in public indoor settings, per University policy. Gatherings may not exceed 10 people.

Faculty and staff may host on-campus gatherings for students. To learn how, visit "Management Hall Use Policies" below.

A Vanderbilt University ID card or assigned key is required for entry into the building; do not hold or prop open exterior doors for other people.

Anyone working or learning on campus must complete the self-assessment on VandySafe before arriving each day.

Click on "Management Hall Use Policies" for up-to-date information on classroom, lobby, and facilities usage; food; signage; and more.

To connect to the campus-wide internet network VUNet, click here. Returning students will have to follow these instructions as well.

Faculty & Staff Information

As we begin the academic year, research activity can ramp up to 50% capacity, instruction remains online up until the first day of class, and staff will continue to work remotely, unless they are required to directly support ramp-up activity and have supervisor approval.

Faculty wishing to return to their offices to perform research and scholarly activities should complete this Vanderbilt Acknowledgment Form, screenshot the last page (which shows completion) and send to Carla Sanders. Carla will notify you once you are approved to be on campus.

Committee and Taskforce Updates

The fall & spring campus plan

We are welcoming students back to campus this fall, under new conditions that the pandemic requires. These conditions include a blend of in-person and virtual classes, social distancing requirements, a modified academic calendar, and health assessments.

Part of these conditions require faculty, students, and staff to check in on the VandySafe app before entering campus.

Owen Academic Schedules

We've made several adjustments to mitigate risk of COVID-19 spread during the traditional flu season, including the elimination of fall break and an exclusively online period of instruction between Thanksgiving and Winter Break.
