Class of 2022 graduates from the full-time MBA program at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management reported average base salary earnings of $139,711 and an average signing bonus of $34,636, an increase of 25.3% over the prior class’s average signing bonus, which was a record last year.
In addition, 90% of students from the Class of 2022 received an offer by graduation, another record in an exceptional year for employment outcomes at Vanderbilt.
“After navigating the past 2 years of disruption and uncertainty from the pandemic, Vanderbilt students experienced a robust MBA job market and achieved excellent results,” said Emily Anderson, Senior Director of the Career Management Center.
Thirty-four percent of class reported taking roles in the consulting industry. Financial Services came in second at 20%, followed by Technology at 17%, Healthcare at 13%, and Consumer Products at 9%.
For the 11th year in a row, 100% of seeking students were able to secure an internship. The students reported earning an average of $9,723 per month at their internships, a 20% increase from the prior year. All told, more than 170 companies hired members from the classes of 2022 and 2023.
“We are ever grateful to our employer partners, as well as to our alumni that remain engaged with the MBA program and are willing to participate in career programming to share insight and guidance,” Anderson said.
