If you are directly out of college, our Master of Accountancy, Master of Marketing and Master of Science in Finance programs allow you to jump-start a career in accounting, marketing or finance. If you have a few years of work experience and want to catapult your career or change your path, our full-time MBA may be for you. For executives, we offer an Executive MBA for those looking to advance their careers while continuing to work.
By the numbers
The number of women we have named as Forté Fellows since Vanderbilt became a partner with the Forté Foundation, an organization that helps launch women into careers in business.
Vanderbilt offers a variety of scholarships to women in our full-time MBA and Executive MBA programs ranging from $10,000 to full tuition. Scholarships are awarded based on the degree to which an individual demonstrates support of the academic, personal or professional advancement of women. Named scholarships for women include the Carol Barr & Margaret Renz Scholarship, the Forté Fellowship, and the Stevens Family Scholarship. Learn more about our MBA scholarships, as well as support available through the Forté Fellowship.
Vanderbilt Business Women's Symposium
This event for prospective MBA students is especially targeted for individuals interested in learning about the challenges and opportunities facing women in business. Hear firsthand from students and alumni on what life is like as a woman in the Vanderbilt MBA program and in post-MBA careers. A panel of corporate guest speakers lets discuss what their firms are doing to advance women and why companies value diversity. Participants then rotate in small group discussions with each panelist to ask questions and learn more about the companies they represent.
Forté events including Forté Women's Leadership Conference
Forté holds events throughout the year for college students and MBA candidates. In June, many Vanderbilt MBA Forté Fellows participate in their Forté MBA Women's Leadership & Career Conference. For a list of Forté events click here. For more about the benefits of joining the Forté, click here.

THE VANDERBILT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
At Vanderbilt, leadership is not an add-on or afterthought; it is well integrated into the business school experience and is one area in which students are expected and encouraged to take ownership of their development.
When we changed our Executive MBA program format to Saturday-only on alternating weekends, the percentage of women participating in the program grew from 10% to 25% and is currently over 30%. Why? Women work extremely hard to keep all aspects of their professional and personal lives in balance and shouldn’t have to sacrifice either in order to grow their careers and skill sets.
Vanderbilt's Executive MBA programs give women more of what they are seeking, including opportunities to learn and grow with a team of intellectual peers, more experience in a real-world business environment and more time for those things in life that are important.
What will you love about Nashville? Just about everything. But don’t take our word for it. Come for a visit and see for yourself.
