Over the past 25 years, the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management Distinguished Alumni Award has recognized one alum who has exhibited outstanding leadership and service in both the professional and philanthropic realms. The recipient contributes significantly to Owen by donating time, energy, talent, or philanthropic support, building networks through class activities, being of service to current students and faculty, hosting regional programs such as Closing Bells, or serving in volunteer leadership positions such as the Alumni Board. Owen annually grants the Distinguished Alumni Award not only to honor worthy recipients but also to inspire students and alumni by the legacy those before them have left.

We are proud to announce the winner of the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award, Prashant Khemka (MBA ’98). Over the years, Prashant’s extraordinary personal involvement and financial support have had a direct impact on Owen faculty, students, and alumni community, in particular our international students and alums. Prashant’s engagement as a member of the Owen Asia Alumni Board, his leadership support for Management Hall’s transformation, his service on the Dare to Grow Owen campaign cabinet, and his commitment to helping international students learn about, apply to, and attend Owen, have made a lasting impact. Prashant’s many contributions to the Vanderbilt community, both on and off campus, have been so valuable. I am deeply appreciative for all that Prashant and his family continue to do for Owen and Vanderbilt and am proud to call you an alumnus of our school.
