Registration

Q. How do I register for a program?
A.

Program registrations can be completed online or by phone. To register online, visit the Executive Education Programs for Individuals page, select your desired program and date, and follow the onscreen instructions. You may also contact us by phone [615-322-2513] to register or if you encounter difficulties with the online registration process.


Cancellation, Transfer, and Substitution Policy

Q. Is there a fee for cancelling, transferring, or sending a replacement?
A.

 The following penalties apply based on when the request is received in relation to the number of calendar days before the program start date:

  • All notifications regarding cancellations, transfers, and substitutions must be submitted in writing to Vanderbilt Executive Education at ExecEd@Vanderbilt.edu.
  • Qualified substitutes for confirmed registrations can be accommodated prior to the program start date with written notice and will incur no substitution fee. Please note that if an enrollment transfer involves a fee increase, the substitute participant is required to pay the fee difference.
  • Each registrant is allowed one transfer to a subsequent Executive Education program offering within 12 months. The participant must pay the difference in fee if the program to which they transfer has a more significant program fee.
  • A transfer request followed by a subsequent cancellation will be subject to the aforementioned cancellation fees.

Billing/Payment

Q. What payment methods are accepted?
A.

Payment is required before the program begins and is accepted in U.S. dollars via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Once registration is completed online, the payment portal is emailed to the registrant.

If you would like to inquire about the possibility of submitting payment through a method other than a credit card, please email us at ExecEd@Vanderbilt.edu.

Q. What does the program fee include?
A.

The program fee typically encompasses all session materials, parking (in designated areas only), and daily breakfast, lunch, and refreshments during breaks. Transportation and lodging expenses are not included.

Q. Is financial assistance available?
A.

Our programs are non-credit, and as a result, are not eligible for financial aid.

Q. Can the GI Bill be utilized for program payment?
A.

The GI Bill applies exclusively to for-credit courses. Since our programs are non-credit, the GI Bill cannot be used for payment.

Q. Are there group discounts available for organizations enrolling multiple participants?
A.

Group discounts are offered for organizations enrolling multiple participants, with pricing dependent on the number of participants. Contact ExecEd@Vanderbilt.edu for pricing tailored to your group size.


Q. Are payment plans available?
A.

Currently, we do not provide the option for payment plans. If you have a question about a specific example or scenario you would like to discuss with us, contact ExecEd@Vanderbilt.edu.


Program Information

Q. What is the recommended attire?
A.

Unless otherwise stated on the program page or pre-session information you receive, business casual attire is recommended.


Q. Is there any preparatory work required before the program?
A.

Certain programs may require pre-work to prepare for the program and ensure time spent during the program is maximized. All registrants who have paid their program fee will receive access to the program learning portal approximately three weeks prior to the start of the session. The learning portal houses all pre-work and logistical information.

Q. What are typical program hours each day?
A.

Most programs commence at 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 4:30 p.m. daily. These times may be adjusted at the facilitator’s discretion.

Q. Is there an expectation of work to be completed in the evenings?
A.

While no events are scheduled in the evenings as part of the official agenda, some programs require participants to complete activities independently in the evening to prepare for the next day.

Q. Can Executive Education programs be applied toward an undergraduate or graduate degree?
A.

While our programs do not confer credit toward undergraduate or graduate degrees, participants are eligible to receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs). We can provide a CEU letter to participants upon program completion for those who request it.

Note that our programs do count toward the Certificate of Leadership Excellence.

Q. Should I bring a laptop or calculator?
A.

We advise participants to bring a laptop, as facilitators often share documents within the learning portal during the program. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available without a password.

Q. What is the timeframe for completing all requirements for the Certificate in Leadership?
A.

Participants have four years, or 48 months, to fulfill all requirements toward the Certificate of Leadership Excellence.
