Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management is excited to announce its new deferred admissions program, Pathway2MBA.
Pathway2MBA offers graduating seniors outside of Vanderbilt a chance to apply to the Vanderbilt MBA program for deferred admission. This program is for students intending to pursue an MBA after gaining real-world experience.
After spending 2 to 4 years working in the private, public, or non-profit sector, admitted Pathway2MBA students begin their MBA classes at Vanderbilt.
“The Pathway2MBA Program is a great tool, since employers often expect MBA hires to have several years of post-undergraduate professional experience,” says Sue Oldham, Associate Dean, MBA Operations.
Pathway2MBA allows undergraduate students the opportunity to prepare early and secure their MBA plans while still gaining invaluable years of post-undergraduate work experience.
“We are seeing more and more undergraduate students wanting a clear path to the MBA degree,” says Oldham. “Pathway2MBA gives you the freedom and chance to plan your MBA path ahead of time and allows you to explore your career goals before returning to school to earn your MBA degree, strengthen your skillset, and advance your career.”
Pathway2MBA applications are accepted from seniors graduating from American universities beginning in the spring of their senior year during Rounds 3 and 4 of MBA application deadlines. The application consists of an online component, academic transcripts, an evaluative interview, a letter of recommendation, official GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment (EA) score(s) or approved test waiver, a resume, a video response, and written statements.
There is no application fee for Pathway2MBA applicants, and Vanderbilt Business can offer applicants a 10% voucher for the GRE. For help obtaining a voucher, contact Mckenzie Mulligan, Associate Director, Recruiting and Admissions.
