Registration

Q. How do I register?
A.

Register online or by phone. To register online, go to Executive Education Short Programs, click the program name, select the date you would like to attend, and follow the instructions. If you are unable to register online, please call 615-322-2513 for assistance.

Cancellation, Transfer, and Substitution Policy

Q. Is there a fee for cancelling, transferring, or sending a replacement?

  • All notifications of cancellations, transfers, and substitutions must be sent in writing to Vanderbilt Executive Education at ExecEd@Vanderbilt.edu.
  • Qualified substitutes for confirmed registrations can be accommodated before the program start date with written notice and will incur no fee for substitution. Note that if an enrollment transfer is involved and the offering undergoes a fee increase, the substitute participant is required to pay the fee balance.
  • One transfer per registrant to a subsequent Executive Education program offering within 12 months is allowed. If the offering that one transfers to undergoes a fee increase, the participant must pay the fee balance.
  • A transfer request to another Executive Education program followed by a subsequent cancellation will be subject to the abovementioned cancellation fees.

Billing/Payment

Q. How can I pay?
A.

Payment is accepted prior to the start of the program in U.S. dollars by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Payment may be made online from the program page.

Q. What is included in the program fee?
A.

All session materials; parking (in designated areas only); daily breakfast; lunch; break food and beverages. Please contact your program coordinator about special dietary needs. Transportation and lodging fees are not included.

Q. Is financial assistance available?
A.

Our programs are non-credit and, therefore, not eligible for financial aid.

Q. Can I use the GI Bill to pay for programs?
A.

The GI Bill is for use with for-credit courses. Because our programs are non-credit, the GI Bill cannot be used for our programming.

Program Information

Q. What is the dress code?
A.

Business casual.

Q. Do I need to prepare in advance for my program?
A.

Please read your program registration welcome letter for details. Some programs require pre-work, like articles to read. If pre-work is required, you will receive an email with details approximately one to two weeks prior to the program start date.

Q. What time do the programs start and end?
A.

Most programs will begin at 8:30 AM and end around 4:30 PM each day, however changes to those times can be made at the discretion of the professor.

Q. How much homework will there be?
A.

Some programs require minimal pre-work. If pre-work is required, you will receive an email with details approximately one to two weeks prior to the programs start date.

Q. Will I be able to use the program for an undergraduate or graduate degree?
A.

Although our programs are not eligible for credit in undergraduate or graduate degrees, participants receive can receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Recognition of participation is given at the end of each program.

Q. Do I need to bring a laptop or calculator?
A.

Please bring a laptop as professors often share documents via BOX during the program. Free Wi-Fi is available with no password required.

Q. How long do I have to complete all program requirements for a certificate?
A.

You have 36 months to complete all programs for your certificate.
