Executive MBA Math Camp
Overview
Math Camp: A Qualitative Advantage to Aid Quantitative Learning
In the weeks leading up to the beginning of the Executive MBA program, you have the opportunity to attend Math Camp. The content presented helps students prepare for our highly quantitative and analytical curriculum, and adjust to being back in the classroom.
Math Camp includes four classes, held on consecutive Saturdays in the summer before the program begins in August. About two-thirds of incoming students participate. Some are required to attend based on GMAT or Executive Assessment (EA) scores, while others choose to be part of the camp to jump-start the classroom experience of the Executive MBA program.
Most of the math concepts used in the Executive MBA curriculum are algebraic in nature, students must also have a general understanding of calculus. As a result, Math Camp content areas include algebra and calculus (weeks one and two) and statistics (weeks three and four).
